Mrs. Kyburz has asked the St. James Singers to sing at the Candlelight Prayer Service for Tiarra Webb. The service is Friday, May 31, 2013 @ 8:00 by the monument. Please let me know ASAP if your child is available to come and sing for this very special service.

April 9, 2013:
The St. James Singers will continue to practice each Wednesday for their end of the year concert on June 6, 2013. We have been practicing in the school in the cafeteria. We will continue this as long as there is not another activity planned for the same time. The concert will be done in the morning for the students and faculty of St. James and in the evening for the parents. Please make sure they are on time for each performance.
End of the Year Party: I would like to have an end of the year party for the St. James Singers. It will be on Wednesday June 5, 2013 in the cafeteria. The time will be 2:15-2:45 and then we will practice in the gym until 3:30 for the concert the next day. I will need baked goods, snacks and drinks brought in and help setting up and cleaning up after the party. As the time gets closer I will have a sign up sheet for this party. Please keep this date in mind to help with this party.

St. James Singers and Parents:
The St. James Singers will be singing an end of the year concert which will include the St. James Band and the St. James Strings. The concert will be on Thursday, June 6, 2013 @ 7:00 PM in the gym. Please mark your calendars with this important date.
The Singers have been practicing diligently every week on some wonderful music for this last concert of the school year. Please make every effort to attend this wonderful concert. The St. James Singers will wear the same clothing as they did for the Christmas Concert. The girls will wear navy skirts with a white blouse and dress shoes. They can wear short white socks instead of tights if you would like. The boys will wear the navy slacks with a white dress shirt and dress shoes with socks. If you have any questions on the required dress for the concert please let me know.
We will also have an end of the year party for all the St. James Singers. I will send out specific information on this when the date is closer.

A new schedule for practices in March and April was sent home with each member of the St. James Singers on Wednesday, February 27th. Please refer to this new schedule for dates and times of upcoming practices.
The St. James Singers will be singing tomorrow at the March 1st school Mass. Please come and celebrate the mass and enjoy the beautiful music.

January 20, 2013:
Attention St. James Singers Parents: Beginning on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 we will be practicing in the church. Students will still report to the gym at dismissal and I will meet them and walk them over to the church after snack. The students will bring all their things over to the church where you will pick them up at 3:30.
We have begun learning new music for our Spring Concert. We are also practicing a song that the Singers will sing at one of the upcoming 1st Friday masses. I will let you know the specific date.

January 8, 2013:
I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year! The St. James Singers will begin practicing again next week on Wednesday, January 16, 2013. We will practice in the gym next week but soon we will be moving over to the church for our practices. I will let you know the exact date that this change will happen.
I have ordered new music for the group and we will be learning it for a Spring Concert. Please note that there will be an evening Spring Concert in late May or sometime in June. As soon as I have the date I will let you know. The Singers will also be singing at an upcoming 1st Friday Mass. I will let you know the date as soon as I can schedule it.

I hope this notice finds all of you well after the storm. I am fortunate to have power and no damage where I live. I hope this is the same for all of you. Stay safe and I look forward to returning to St. James and seeing the students tomorrow.
Important information: The members of St. James Singers will be given a new practice schedule for November and December tomorrow, October 31, 2012 if we have school. If we do not have school tomorrow I will make sure they receive the schedule on Thursday. Please make sure you ask them for this schedule. Along with practice dates and times there are also important concert dates included on this schedule. The dress code for each concert is also written on this schedule. Christmas Party for St. James Singers: Wednesday, December 19, 2012 @ 2:15-2:45. Please volunteer to help set up and clean up. Also, please volunteer to bring in some special treats for the children. October 5, 2012:
Our Next Practice will be on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 @ 2:15-3:30. Students will meet me in the Gym. Please remember to send in an extra snack and drink.
UPCOMING IMPORTANT DATE: Christmas Concert: Tuesday, December 18, 2012 @ 7:00 PM in the gym. Please mark your calendars with this important date. All voices will be needed for a successful concert. This concert is on the same night as the 1st & 2nd grade Christmas Pageant and the band concert.
The St. James Singers will also be singing at the Christmas Prayer Service on Friday December 21, 2012 in the church. The prayer service starts at 9:00 a.m.
September 20, 2012:
Thank you to all students and parents of St. James Singers. The first practice was this week on Wednesday, September 19th. It was a great practice. All the members listened and sang beautifully. I gave out the practice schedule for October. Please look it over and mark all the practice dates on your calendar.

SPECIAL NOTE: When cheer leading practice begins (not sure when that will be) we will practice in the small vestibule in the gym by the entrance on the left of gym when you are looking at the main doors facing the street.
